The festival features a competitive hunt, a guided hunt, live music and a beer tent, a gourmet Taset of Morels, carnival rides, and much more, including the Wine and Dine gourmet dinner and wine tasting - details below.
You are cordially invited to attend the 6th Annual Morelfest "Wine & Dine" at the Beach House Restaurant at Boyne Mountain (439 E. Deer Lake Road - Directions) from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Friday, May 18, 2012. This event is one of the highlights of the Boyne City Morel Mushroom Festival, held annually on the weekend after Mother's Day. Guests will be treated to gourmet hors d'oeuvres prepared by the Beach House paired with fine wines from Bayside Beverage. Hors d' oeuvres and wine pairings will be announced as we get closer to the event.
Last year's pairings were:
Morel, Ramp, Sweet Onion, Swiss and Gruyere Tart with a Spicy Raspberry Sauce. Paired with Cristalino Brut Rose, Spain.Admission is $40 per person. Sponsors of this gourmet event are the Boyne Area Chamber of Commerce, Boyne Mountain and Bayside Beverage.
