Boyne Country Community Center Inc, is non-profit 501(c)(3) group whose dream was to open a community center building in Boyne City. In January, 2011, the Boyne City Masons sold their solid 57-year-old building to Boyne Country Community Center Inc. for $50,000. The 6,000 square foot, two story building is located next to Boyne City's Veteran’s Park. Northwestern Bank provided a $50,000 loan to fund the building purchase. Thanks to many major donors, the loan was paid off in just six weeks. Since then, many individuals, clubs, and businesses have made one-time donations of $500, $1,000, and more to help fund planned building improvements, which could cost as much as $60,000. To date, $24,500 in donations and pledges has been collected to fund these projects.
