The Boyne District Library will host Garth Stein, author of the New York Times best selling book The Art of Racing in the Rain, on Monday, April 16th at 6:30 at the Boyne City High School Performing Arts Center. The author presentation is free and open to the public. Books can be checked out at the library or purchased at Local Flavor Bookstore prior to the event.
Prior to the presentation the Friends of the Boyne District Library will host an hors d'oeuvre reception at 5:45 in the commons area of the Performing Arts Center. Friends will be able to enjoy conversation with the author and hors d'oeuvres prepared by the BCHS hospitality class. If you are a not a Friends member, you can join for just $10 a year. Friends memberships can be purchased at the library or at the door the night of the event. If you are a current Friends member, you can pick your complimentary ticket up at the library prior to the event, or call the library at 231-582-7861 to have your ticket waiting at the door.
