Wine & Dine offers gourmet experience for
morel lovers on May 15 at the Beach House
You are cordially invited to attend the 4th Annual Morelfest "Wine & Dine" at the Beach House Restaurant at Boyne Mountain (439 E. Deer Lake Road - Directions) from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Friday, May 15. Music will be provided by popular local singer-songwriter Robin Lee Berry, and guests will be treated to a private cooking demonstration by Boyne Mountain Sous Chef Dave Bourdlaies. The chef will also be preparing gourmet hors d' oeuvres paired with fine wines from Bayside Beverage. Hors d' oeuvres and wine pairings include:
- Boursin and Morel Mushroom Quesadilla with Tomato and Chive Salsa, paired with Carelli Sauvignon Blanc, Argentina, 2008.
Brie Cheese-Stuffed, Ritz Breaded Morels with Spicy Berry Sauce, paired with Columbia Crest (H3) Merlot, Washington, 2006.
- Morel Crusted Walleye Pike with Maple Drizzle, paired with Domaine Napa Chardonnay, California, 2005.
- Sliced Tenderloin of Beef with Morel-Cherry Demi Glace, paired with The Show Cabernet Sauvignon, California, 2005.
- Morel Roasted Red Pepper, Spinach and Pancetta Stuffed Pork Loinwith Apple-Brandy Glaze, paired with Gamay Noir Reserve, Chateau Grand Traverse, Michigan 2006.
Admission is $35 per person. Sponsors of this gourmet event are the Boyne Area Chamber of Commerce, Boyne Mountain and Bayside Beverage.
