Winter fun: sledding and skating at Avalanche Mt.

Avalanche sledding hillThe Avalanche Mountain warming house opens each winter for those who enjoy sledding and ice skating. According to the City of Boyne City, the warming house will be open from from 4 to 9 p.m. Monday through Friday and 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays. Weekend hours will also be observed on other holidays throughout the winter when school is not in session.

Skating and sledding are allowed any time until the park closes at 10:30 p.m., however there is no supervision outside of the regular hours of the warming house. The ice skating rink activity is weather-dependent. Free loaner skates (limited size selection) are available in the warming house. New and used skate donations are welcome at anytime.
