STUNNING SUNFLOWERS – Canvas Tote Painting Workshop
DETAILS: Please join Skilled Artisan Teacher Sharon Smithem for a wonderful afternoon filled with sunshine and sunflowers at Lavender Hill Farm. Each person will be supplied with a Heavy-duty cotton canvas bag to paint on and a variety of acrylic paints for your pallets. During this class Sharon will teach you some simple painting techniques to give your artwork depth and interest. This workshop will take some time so let’s get started promptly and have some fun!
WHEN: August 20thth, 2021 from 12pm-3pm
Class starts at noon and painting begins at 12:15pm sharp. Everyone paints and different speeds, class is usually over by 3:00pm.
AGES: 10 and up
COST: $45 per person (canvas and all materials included). Payments can be made via Square, Check or Cash the day of.
REGISTRATION: Seats must be reserved in advance. Please contact Sharon by August 16th to reserve your seat. This class has a minimum and maximum attendance requirement and will fill quickly so reserve your spot today! If participant minimum is not met 2 days prior, the workshop will be cancelled.
PLEASE BRING: Wear something comfortable and bring your own apron for painting.
ABOUT THE INSTRUCTOR: Hello my name is Sharon Smithem and I have been painting on canvas, walls, and buildings or anything I can get my hands on my entire life! I love it. I have also taught art classes in College and in many Art Centers throughout Michigan. I love to teach. My expertise is in Fine Art Painting and Glass Mosaics and Stained Glass. I grew up in Buffalo, New York and attended College in Grand Rapids, Michigan at Kendall College of Art & Design. For a BFA I now reside along the shores of Lake Michigan in Charlevoix.
