Developing a love of books through mind and body with instructor Laurie Witt. Marrying her passion for literacy and 200-hour registered yoga training, Laurie created book yoga to foster in children a love of reading through specialized classes that combine traditional yoga poses with storylines of children’s books. Together we will explore, balance, flexibility, strength, and relaxation through literary experiences.
WHEN: Weekly, Every Tuesday 9-9:45am – First Class is June 22nd and Last Class is August 17th
COST: $15 per class after June 1st – Sign up before June 1st for a discount at $10 per class.
REGISTRATION: Pre-registration is suggested as this class has a maximum class occupancy and will fill quickly. If spots are open, day of Drop-ins are welcome by cash payment only. This class has a minimum and maximum attendance requirement so reserve your spot today! If participant minimum is not met 24 hours before the class date, the class will be cancelled, and you will be notified by the instructor.

PLEASE BRING: Please bring yoga mat, towel, and a water bottle. Participants need to wear comfortable clothing (always good in MI to dress in layers) and recommend applying sunscreen 15 mins before class starts. Sunglasses also encouraged.
Please note if it is raining class will be cancelled and the instructor will transfer your payment credit to another class date.
ABOUT THE INSTRUCTOR Laurie started Soul Yoga because she is passionate about sharing the benefits of yoga with children, teens, and adults. She has offered a lifetime of service to children as an elementary, reading recovery, and Spanish teacher; literacy instructor, mother of three sons, and certified children’s yoga teacher. Embracing nature in outdoor yoga practice is Laurie’s favorite!
