Dot Mandala WorkshopName: Dot Mandala WorkshopDate: August 5, 2021Time: 5:00 PM - 8:00 PM EDTEvent Description:
Humans have always been drawn to and fascinated by circular designs. A great example of that is the Mandala. Considered to be of Eastern origin, Mandala is a Sanskrit word that translates to “circle”. In today’s world the process of creating a Mandala is used for its calming and relaxing effect on the mind and body. When we unplug from our electronics to sit quietly and paint circular and symmetrical shapes, our creativity begins to naturally flow, and we enter a meditative state.
In this class we will learn the basic steps on how to create a Dot Mandala on smooth stones. We will be sketching the outline, painting with acrylic paints, using dotting techniques, and adding extra dots for decoration and finishing touches. Dot Mandalas have a beautiful circular shape that is very pleasing to the eye.
No experience is necessary. Visual examples and a selection of patterns will be available to help with the painting process. All materials will be provided, and your completed Mandala stones can be taken home to enjoy.
Please join us for this mindful, fun, creative evening using sacred art!
