English Fascinator Workshop
What Is a Fascinator?
A fascinator is a high-society headpiece that is often worn by women at weddings and other events in the U.K. It is an alternative to a hat and usually consists of a large decorative design attached to a band or clip.
DETAILS: Join Pamela Graham, a lifetime member of the Royal Enclosure at Royal Ascot, as she shares the inside story of this 250-year-old Great Britain sporting event. Through her personal slideshow, you will learn about the strict dress code, race etiquette, why betting on the Queen’s hat color is as popular as betting on the horses, the Royal family’s best looks, and more. Attendees will make an English-style fascinator using materials Pam sources from around the world. Choose one of her one-of-a-kind custom-designed kits to create a headpiece to wear for holidays, weddings, evening, or garden parties. No sewing or crafting experience is necessary, and a beautiful result is guaranteed! Light lavender refreshments will be served.
