DETAILS: Join us at Lavender Hill Farm for an introduction to the ancient art of Mehndi. In this workshop students will be given an overview of what henna is, where it comes from historically and how it is used today.?Participants will also learn how to prepare natural henna paste, make a henna cone, and demonstrate where and how to put it on the body. After attending this workshop students will have a new appreciation for the history and beauty of henna body art and the tools to adorn themselves and others. All materials are provided including a starter kit with henna cones to take home.
WHEN: 11 AM to 2 PM, August 27, 2021
AGES: Ages 10 & up, Henna is for everyone – males are also welcomed to join!

ABOUT THE INSTRUCTOR: Amy Elizabeth White is the artist behind Sister 2 Sister Henna. Originally a photographer from Michigan, her passion for the art was discovered after moving to Brooklyn, New York.?Never looking back, she has been creating original henna designs ancient & new with love since 2015. With an eye on traditional technique & design, and an emphasis on detail, she has created her own original work that harmonizes with each client. Amy has had the opportunity to offer henna for many diverse occasions all over the country – bridal henna, private parties, corporate events, festivals, markets, celebrations and more. She also holds workshops and creates henna inspired fine art, wearable art, and dessert decoration.?She only uses Body Art Quality Henna that creates a beautiful and rich stain.?There are no fillers or chemical dyes added to paste, just simple and natural ingredients!
