Mandala Drawing Class with Sister 2 Sister Henna
Humans have been fascinated by circular design motifs across all cultures and times. A great example of that is the mandala. Considered to be of Eastern origin, mandala is a Sanskrit word that translates to “circle”. In today’s world it is often used for its calming and relaxing effect on mind and body. When we unplug from our electronics to sit quietly and color, our creativity begins to naturally flow cultivating stillness, self-awareness, balance, peace and tranquility.
In this class we will be guided through the process of making a freehand mandala. No experience is necessary and visual examples and a selection of patterns will be available to help you with the drawing process. We will be working with a wide array of colors using flair pens and pencils. Your symmetrical design can be as intricate as you wish. Each mandala created is unique and provides beautiful visual results.
Please join us for this mindful, fun, creative evening using sacred art! Materials will be provided. Participants are encouraged to bring any of their favorite drawing tools in addition. Guests will have their completed work to take home and enjoy. Bring your favorite beverage to enjoy during class. We will have hot water for tea & wine is welcome.
