    Job Description
    Bear River Health is looking for a Registered Nurse (RN) who desires to work autonomously in a unique, challenging, and rewarding environment.  Do you have strong communication skills and the ability to assess for emergent versus non-urgent needs? If so, we invite you to apply as a member of our nursing team.   The qualified candidate will provide medical services to the Residential population in a substance use treatment facility.  You’ll work as part of a team, along with Advanced Practice Providers, other nursing staff and Behavioral health techs, where communication and cooperation are key to success. Mental health and/or experience with clients with substance abuse disorders is a plus!
    Minimum Requirements:
     Associates Degree in Nursing; 5 yrs of nursing experience; excellent triage skills; strong clinical assessment skills; nursing experience in Primary care or Urgent care; self sufficient; well organized; BLS certification; proficiency with intramuscular injections as well as phlebotomy and IV starts. 
    • Demonstrate great customer service and foster's our value statement of "Saving Lives and Fostering Growth"
    • Responsible for the oversight of the medical care for Residential clients in our 3.5 ASAM level of substance abuse treatment
    • Assess, triage and treat utilizing established standardized protocols established by Advanced Practice Providers and a Medical Director
    • Communicate needs in a timely,efficient manner to the Residential Advanced Practice Provider
    • Responsible for coordination of care with client's primary care providers 
    • Collect labwork as ordered by the Advanced Practice Provider
    • Administer medications during standardized medication pass times
    • Provide health education services to Residential clients
    • Foster an environment of care and support and a therapeutic mileau for those undergoing substance abuse treatment
    • Follow Nursing Practice standards as defined by the State of Michigan
    • Maintain Joint Commission quality and compliance standards
