Water Street Cafe has been a big hit with an expanded menu and expanded hours since new owners took over May 1st, 2019. The new proprietors are all members of the same local family. Jim and Kirt Ploe are the chef and front of house manager, spouses Jennie and Stacy are the servers, and their kids are helping out too. Kirt and Jim have extensive restaurant experience. They’ve kept many of the same menu items as previous owners, and they’ve added some of their own creations. The most popular addition so far has been a $12 Sunday breakfast buffet, which includes eggs, sausage, potatoes, waffles, fruit, biscuits and gravy, and baked goods.
