Mothers Appreciation Day at Mothers Keepers

It's time to make your appointments for the Mothers Appreciation Day event! Appointments are 30 minutes each. Suggested $25 donation per family (not per appointment).

We are excited to announce that Amanda Buckingham, licensed aesthetician and Karissa Burkee, licensed cosmetologist at Blushed Beauty will be offering makeup and hairstyles from 1-3. 

Amanda is a licensed aesthetician with 5 years in the industry and 3 wedding seasons as a solo makeup artist. She started Blushed to be her "what I WANT to do" and never looked back. Amanda Buckingham specializes in customized bridal airbrush makeup. 

Karissa is a licensed cosmetologist with over 4 years of experience specializing in wedding and special event hair styling. From senior photo shoots, to working with brides, Karissa take pride in her work and feels privileged to be a part of her clients special events.

Mr. William Rose with Sanctuary Massage Therapy will be available from 1-4:30 for 30 minute massages. 

Sanctuary Massage provides a space and opportunity for you to just be. William has developed a pressure fluid technique over the past six years based on his poly centric approach to health. They offer massage therapy, reflexology, and open conversations in their office, your office, or your home.

Anna Robinson, a licensed massage therapist, graduated from Blue Heron Massage School in Grand Rapids will be giving massages as well from 2-4:30. Anna has a huge heart for helping others and is excited to be joining MK at this event to celebrate moms!

Beth Leist is a licensed cosmetologist. She graduated from the Up North School of Cosmetology. She entered the beauty industry in order to help people feel better about themselves. She has a passion for people and partnering with MK is in line with that by giving back to all of the strong women out there who work so hard and might not take time out for themselves. Beth will be taking appointments for hair styling and cuts from 1-4:30! Beth is employed at Vogue on the Lake in Walloon.

Claire Brummeler, a licensed cosmetologist with Vogue Salon, will be doing hair cuts and styles from 1-4:30. She is a graduate from Douglas J. Aveda Institute in East Lansing. The connection she makes with others while styling or cutting their hair is her favorite part about what she does. She is excited to celebrate moms with MK!

Melissa Nestle, a licensed cosmetologist from the Spa at Bay Harbor will be on hand doing mini mani's for you mommas from 1-4PM. Melissa is a momma herself and is excited to serve local moms with some pampering.

Matt Leismer, MaAOM, graduated from this country's top ranked school of Oriental Medicine, the Oregon College of Oriental Medicine in 2005. He was also certified by the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine in 2005. After a year of internship, Matt opened the Dao of Health Center for Acupuncture Herbs and Qi Gong in Petoskey then moved to a home visit based practice in 2011 to provide more personalized care and convenience for patients. Matt's undergraduate studies focused on psychology and medical anthropology which gave him an appreciation for the connection between mind and body that is an integral part of Oriental Medicine. While treating a wide range of health concerns, Matt's area of specialty is in the treatment of anxiety and depression.

Matt will be taking 30 minute acupuncture appointments from 1-430PM.

Sarah Mattioli, a licensed cosmetologist from the Spa at Bay Harbor will be doing haircuts from 1-3PM. Sarah is excited about giving back to her community.
