    Event Description:
Boyne City Kiwanis Host 41st Labor Day Weekend Car show
Boyne city Kiwanis are pleased to be hosting the 41st Labor Day Weekend Car Show.  The Labor Day Weekend Car Show was begun in 1982 when a group of local car enthusiasts started a car show on the shores of beautiful Lake Charlevoix.  It continues to be a day full of fun, cars, music, and friendship.
The Labor Day Weekend Car Show will be on September 1&2 this year.  On Friday, September 1, look for classic cars to be lined up in the 100 and 200 blocks of Water St from 6pm-9pm during Stroll The Streets.  There is no registration or fee to display cars on Friday night.  Everyone is welcome to bring their cars down, listen to the live music, and enjoy a great night with other car enthusiasts.
On Saturday, September 2, the judged Car Show will take place in Veteran’s Park, 207 N lake St.  Registration will open at 8am, judging will begin at 10am, and prizes will be announced approximately 3pm.  There is a $20 pre-registration fee which will be available through 9pm Friday night.  On Saturday, registration will be $25.
There will be 18 judged classes. Boyne City Kiwanis is fortunate to have a great group of volunteers who are willing to donate their time as amateur judges.  Plaques will be awarded to the first-place winners in each class.  There will be 3 additional non-judged categories, including the Percy Stowe Memorial Award.
Throughout the day on Saturday, we will have music and door prizes.  There will also be a chance for spectator participation with voting for Kid’s Choice and People’s Choice awards until 1pm.
Coffee and doughnuts will be available for purchase in the morning, and BC Pizza will have their food truck on sight for lunch.
Boyne City Kiwanis Club is a diverse group of Boyne area citizens who care deeply about the health and education of our area’s youth, as well as children around the world.  Kiwanis started in Detroit in 1915 and has spread to over 8o countries.
Proceeds of the Boyne City Kiwanis Labor Day Weekend Car show will benefit the youth of the Boyne City area and the world.
