Genealogy With Patrick: A Research Refresher

The most requested topic for our May class was a return to beginning genealogy and family history research. For those who wish to begin the exploration of your family tree, this may be the class for you! For those who attended our “Researching Historic Homes” class last February, you may find this the perfect opportunity to learn how to research previous homeowners and their connections to your properties of interest. In either case, our topic of discussion will provide a practical step-by-step guide for getting started as a genealogist.

Long-time local historian, genealogist and archivist, Patrick McCleary, will lead the group’s discussion. Participants are asked to bring along their laptops if they have them or sign up for use of those available through the library. Laptop numbers are limited and will only be met on a first come-first served basis. This program is free and open to the public and all are encouraged to attend.
