National Morel Mushroom Festival 2022

2022 Schedule of Events

Events include:
Annual Arts and Crafts in Veteran’s park (Friday, May 13 from 12 noon – 6 p.m. and Saturday, May 14 from 10 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. and Sunday May 15 12 noon to 3:00 p.m..
Free Morel Seminar featuring morel expert, Tony Williams.  Friday, May 13 beginning at 3:00 p.m. under the tent in Veterans Park
The Taste of Morels, Our Premiere Event Returns!  Saturday, May 14 from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m. under the tent in Veterans Park.  Chefs from our local restaurants will serve morel “tastes” using some of their favorite recipes!  Be sure to bring your appetite and enjoy these unique, one of a kind morel tastes!
Saturday May 14 Concert featuring the Family Tradition Band.  7 pm to 11 pm under the heated tent in Veterans Park.  Best of Detroit 2020 rated them as “1st place – Best band: The Family Tradition Band. Country-rock group The Family Tradition Band — yes, the name is a nod to Hank Williams’ 1982 hit — sets its standards high. Even during the pandemic, the group didn’t slow down, managing to perform about 60 outdoor, socially distanced shows last year. “When everything shut down, we took that as an opportunity to continue growing,” says lead guitarist and vocalist Kyle Palermino. “We wrote a lot of new songs during that time as well as invested a lot of time, money, and effort into building and bettering our show.”
The Great Morel Giveway begins at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 14 at 217 S. Lake Street, Boyne City. For more information, contact Fresh Water Studio at 231-582-2588.
Lions Club Carnival in Veteran’s park (This event is sponsored by the the Boyne Valley Lions and all proceeds benefit the Lions Club). Thursday & Friday, May 12 & 13 from 3:00 pm to 10:00 p.m. Saturday, May 14 from 11:00 a.m. to  10:00 p.m. & Sunday, May 15 for noon to 5:00 p.m.      For any other questions contact Yolanda Pethers @ 231-582-2197
The Boyne Area Chamber Wine and Dine Friday, May 13 is hosted by the Boyne Area Chamber and held at the Deerlake Beach House (to register, visit the chamber of commerce website at https://www.boynechamber.com/).
