BOYNE AREA CHAMBER BRINGING BACK SMELTANIA
The Boyne Area Chamber of Commerce is bringing back the historic winter festival “Smeltania”!
Join the fun on Saturday, February 27th from 1-6pm at Boyne City’s Veterans Park Pavilion.
- Bring your own shanty and outdoor games and spend the afternoon enjoying “Frozen Boyne”.
- There will be a contest for the most original/creative shanty - winner will receive a $50 chamber check!
- Enjoy music from our July 4th Duck Race DJ, Mike Thompson (T-Bone)!
- Fire pits will be set up to warm your outsides.
- Your favorite local restaurants will be on site serving deliciousness to warm your insides. Vote for your favorite - winning restaurant will receive the "Smeltie" People's Choice award.
- Enjoy a scavenger hunt around Boyne City with historic clues – winner will receive a $50 chamber check!
- The Heritage Center will be providing history of Smeltania with selfie photo props.
