    Join us Saturday March 7th, 1-4pm for a community reading of Aldo Leopold's iconic A Sand County Almanac. Join the Charlevoix Conservation District board and staff, along with conservation and community leaders from throughout the Tip of the Mitt region including local garden clubs, district libraries, chambers, Friends of the Boyne River, Master Gardeners, Environmental Educators, NCMC Environmental Studies Instructors, Little Traverse Conservancy, Walloon Conservancy and more, as they share passages from the book and let Leopold's timeless words awaken a deeper ethic of care for our land. You don't need to be familiar with Aldo Leopold or his writings to enjoy this unique community event. Enjoy a free copy of A Sand County Almanac and refreshments upon participation.
