EH has a seasonal Environmental Health Tech position available from mid-June through Labor Day to provide help with beach water sampling and courier services within our four-county service area. This person will work approximately 28-32 hours per week, Monday through Thursday, with additional hours needed periodically to help cover for other employee absences. Rate of pay is $20.23/hour.
Duties include –
- Travel throughout the service area as needed to perform environmental sampling of beach water following standard methods.
- Provide inter-office courier services to transport supplies, equipment, mail, and environmental samples or clinical specimens.
- Assist lab staff with clerical and water testing for beach samples
- Other duties may be assigned when covering for employee absences.
A high school diploma / GED is required, along with a valid Driver’s License and personal car, and the ability to pass a pre-employment physical exam and drug screen. Mileage is reimbursed at the current IRS rate of 72.5 cents per mile.
