''Week at the Lake'' Award goes to the Brickers
Robin and David Bricker of Boyne City were named the 2019 “Week at the Lake” Local Heroes Award winners at the Team O’Brien offices in Boyne City during Friday’s Stroll the Streets event.
The Brickers finished first in an online voting competition that was open to the public. They will be rewarded with a much-deserved “Week at the Lake” featuring a beautiful Lake Charlevoix home with up to 10 friends and family, use of a high performance Tritoon boat from Boyne Water Sports and all the fixings for a final night barbecue jamboree.
“Their decades-long contributions to our schools, students and community have touched thousands of lives and embody the selfless service that this award seeks to recognize,” Pat O’Brien said as he made the announcement.
The five finalist runners-up are also winners. They all win a special “Heroes Night Out” courtesy of Team O’Brien and Magnum Hospitality. They were awarded $100 dining cards as recognition and celebration of their efforts.
“All of the finalists were amazing and inspiring. Caring and contributing is part of the lifestyle of our community and we wanted to do something to show our appreciation. We are all actually the winners because of their service,” said Nate Jason of Magnum Hospitality.
The new community honor is for residents of Charlevoix and Emmet counties and is supported by Pat O’Brien and Associates of Charlevoix and Boyne.
